The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) core services in HIV response are directly implemented at community level through Service Centres. TASO has established eleven (11) Service Centres in the major towns across Uganda and these are; Entebbe, Gulu, Jinja, Kampala, Masaka, Masindi, Mbale, Mbarara, Rukungiri, Soroti and Tororo.
The TASO service centres, named after the host towns, are uniquely designed to operate as semi autonomous entitles but interlinked with the head office at the centre and other service centres. Each of these has own governance and management structure and teams to oversee HIV/AIDS service delivery to the communities in their areas of work.
All the TASO service centres offer a range of HIV core services; Comprehensive HIV Prevention, HIV/AIDS Counseling, Care and Support, HIV/AIDS Treatment, Training, Advocacy and Networking, and these are tailored to address the unique needs of the different communities they serve.
