The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) in partnership with its Development Partners has provided grants to many Community Based Organisation (CBOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to implement specific activities to scale up the HIV and AIDS response in their communities and catchment areas. Availability of grants is usually advertised in local and national media including the website. Communities are encouraged to look out for such opportunities when available.
TASO is implementing a five-year project (2016-2021) funded by PEPFER through CDC that aims to accelerate HIV and AIDS epidemic Control through Health systems strengthening approach in Soroti region covering the 08 Districts of Amuria, Bukedea, Kaberamaido, Katakwi, Kumi, Ngora, Serere and Soroti and in the district of Masaka and Kalungu as a sub recipient under the Masaka – Region Rakai Health Science Program.
TASO therefore seeks applications from interested and competent local CSOs to implement activities/ interventions that will contribute to increased demand, access to and continuous utilization of high-quality, high-impact health interventions under the following thematic areas; Community-based referral and linkage, Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC), OVC Services, eMTCT; Client Follow up and tracing in high Volume sites Supported by TASO; HTS; for increased Yield of PLHIV, KP/PP prevention care and treatment services and Gender, youth, Women and men targeted interventions Soroti Region –TASO Consortium Project and for Masaka – Region, Rakai Health Science Program (RHSP) CSOs should have the capacity to implement a comprehensive OVC program; mobilize PLHIV to seek care and treatment, follow up patients that are on treatment or lost-to follow up, and provide community care and support.
