Christine Nabiryo

Dr. NabiryoDr. Christine Nabiryo is a public health specialist with an MBchB,  Mmed Public Health from Makerere University and two years postgraduate training as an HIV/AIDS Fellow with the School of Public Health, Makerere University.

She Participated in the development of the Uganda National Anti-retroviral Therapy (ART) Policy and treatment guidelines, and the WHO 3X5 Operational guidelines for ART scale up as a member. In 2003, she headed the TASO team that worked towards rolling out ART and later the gender mainstreaming as well as the partner advisory group.

Dr. Christine was part of the team that developed the 2007-2011 Uganda National HIV strategic plan, developed a model for sustainable food programming for PLHIV in collaboration with WFP Uganda; and also spearheaded the process that developed an institutionalized leadership curriculum for leadership capacity development.

She has served in different managerial positions in TASO including ART coordinator, Director Planning and Strategic Information, and currently she is the Deputy Executive Director Programs & Strategic Information, a position where she provides leadership in Programming.
