World AIDS Day Message

November 30, 2006
The Global HIV epidemic does not yet show signs of abating in Africa and here in Uganda there are concerns that the previous gains against the epidemic are being reversed. The cumulative number of HIV/AIDS orphaned children is estimated to be over 2 million in Uganda today, and some 150,000 children below 15 years are estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS.
