HIV/AIDS

TASO has been offering medical and psychosocial services to people infected and affected by HIV since 1987.

MALARIA

TASO is the second principle recipient for the Global Fund to fight HIV, Malaria and Tuberculosis.

TUBERCULOSIS

TASO contributes to the reduction in the dual burden of HIV and Tuberculosis through two different arms.

NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

TASO partners on the INTE-AFRICA Project with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, integrating Hypertension and Diabetes services into our package.

YOUTH

TASO’s commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS extends to empowering the next generation through the youth program

GLOBAL HEALTH SECURITY

TASO recognises how vulnerabilities in the health system to the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious diseases like Ebola have profound implications on health, economic progress, and social cohesion.

As of January 2021, our project footprint extends across a meticulously mapped landscape, showcasing the diverse regions where TASO’s ongoing initiatives unfold. This expansive coverage complements our dedicated Centers of Excellence strategically positioned within 11 districts nationwide. A Word from the Executive Director

As we stand on the cusp of a new chapter, TASO takes pride in its remarkable and uninterrupted 36-year roller-coaster journey with hope and self-belief, pioneering innovative solutions in HIV/AIDS programming while prodding the future. Our commitment to the community, and to adaptability to the ever-changing dynamics of the HIV/AIDS epidemic have solidified TASO’s position as a leading partner in the national and global response and in prime position to apply what has worked in the past to deal with future health and social challenges.

The unveiling of the TASO Strategic Plan 2023-2027 marks a pivotal moment. In the wake of an increased need for integrated health services, TASO reflects on the past and envisions the next five years with renewed vigor. Our focus extends beyond HIV to tackle TB, Malaria, climate change and emerging health threats. We envision empowered and healthy communities, free from the impact of these diseases.
